CPR certification for building materials
In March 2011, the European Union issued the new Building Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011-CPR and announced that the new regulation would enter into mandatory implementation in July 2013, replacing the old CPD Directive 89/106/EEC. The new CPR certification for building materials is also a unified performance evaluation method in the European Union. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of building materials, and to ensure that buildings and civil engineering projects within its territory do not pose a threat to the safety of people, livestock (poultry), and property in their design and construction, as well as other basic requirements followed to maintain general welfare. The new regulations retain the core elements of CPD and avoid differences in regulations across different regions.
